Strang Goes WORCS
Team Suzuki Off Road’s Josh Strang is in California this week, testing and training with Team Manager Mike Webb and Rodney Smith. The purpose of Strang’s visit to the Golden State?
“Josh is going to ride the Adelanto round of the WORCS Series,” says Team Manager Mike Webb.
Strang is 2010’s top star in the Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) having raced and won every round of the series so far this season for a perfect 4-for-4 record and 120 points/4wins towards the Championship. He is currently 42 points ahead of the rider in second.
“Josh is in peak condition and is perfectly suited to the Suzuki RM-Z450,” says 5-time GNCC Champion Rodney Smith. “It’s great to see a rider and bike come together like this. Everything is working so well, Josh is eager to race all the time. So, here we are.”
Strang and his Suzuki will be going for another podium in The World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS), along with the GNCC’s one of America’s premier off road Championships.
“WORCS is a different format from the GNCC’s,” says Webb (Mike himself is a former WORCS Vet Champion). “Josh has the speed, training and talent so it will be fun to see him go up against the top WORCS racers on their home turf.”
