Track News: Breezewood Proving Ground
July 28th, 2010Ask anyone who’s been to the Breezewood Proving Grounds before and they’ll say it’s the best all around motocross park in the Northeast. Dan Harris (#584) has created tracks that cater to the absolute beginner (Pee Wee) as well as the advanced technical rider. All tracks are Motocross with doubles, tabletops, triples, step-ups and high banked berms and are groomed and watered regularly, and track layouts change often. All the tracks are open to both motorcycles and quads – all day practice… everyday! The park offers much more than just riding. There’s a swimming pond with a huge water slide, diving board, floating dock and much more. There’s full hook-up and primitive camping, hot water shower houses, cabins and a dining facility to ensure your stay at the Proving Grounds is comfortable and relaxing after a hard day riding. WORLDS TOUGHEST RACE SERIES
GEICO ENDUROCROSS OPENER
Story and Photos By Winged Nut & Associates
Arguably, America’s best race action series got underway in the air-conditioned comfort of the Orleans Arena, located in America’s gambling mecca-Las Vegas. Of course, outside the temps hovered at around 112 degrees.
This made for some heated racing, where the riders were much cooler on the track, then they were outside in the scorching pits. The opening race saw defending Geico Endurocross champion, Red Bull/KTM rider Taddy Blazusiak, take the win ahead of multi-time Trials champ, Geoff Aaron, aboard his Christini backed KTM. Look for the battle between these two riders to heat up as the season heats up. Read the rest of this entry »
WORCS July Newsletter
July 16th, 2010Letter from Sean Reddish-I hope that everyone is enjoying the break and recharging your racing batteries. What a championship season we are having! The amateur ranks of racers have been competitive and watching the 50cc and 65cc classes race this year has been a tremendous amount of fun. We have challenged the kids with more off-road to get them ready for the next step. The parents are always nervous but the kids just love it and the stories are very unique.

July 16th, 2010Jeremy was on a brand new LT-R450 we had just finished assembling on Thursday around midnight, just in time to leave for the race.
This weekend started off just like most of our weekends. Saturday practice went well, we tuned the quad and got ready for Sunday morning qualifying. Sunday morning went well, but nothing special, as Jeremy finished the practice in 9th place. However this would prove nothing.
Moto One: At the drop of the gate things didn’t look so well as Jeremy had a terrible reaction off the sticky concrete at PVR. However, he was lined up on the inside and snuck into 5th place around the 1st corner! Within a few laps he caught up to Cody Gibson and quickly passed him for the 4th place position. Joe Byrd was in 3rd place at this time and Jeremy was focused on moving forward. Within a few more laps Jeremy caught and had a little battle with Byrd, Jeremy tried to pass Byrd in an off camber Read the rest of this entry »
