Tim and Allie Shelman were called to do a promo for the ICE racing series that came to Kent Washington. Being as shy as the Shelman’s are it took us about 3 milli-seconds to say yes.  We [Shelman’s] then had a mad scramble to gather studded tires and come up with a “doctors note” for Allie that  Thursday morning. We [Shelman’s] met up with Eric Rickman , a Pro dirtybiker and good friend, to do the shoot.

Kaci the host was a hoot and was a good sport and did a great job covering the sport and getting a crash course on how to ride a 60hp quad on the ice. The Rekluse clutch played a huge role in this otherwise I would have had to start the bike a 100 times for her.

Eric showed us how to “git er done” on the dirtbike almost scraping the end of the grip off in every turn he layed it down so far. When we went out he pulled away from me on every lap showing us the fast line around the tight ice rink.

In our initial meeting with the TV crew I told them I wanted to cover safety and family and how this relates to this sport. They then changed gears and followed our collective goal. As you can see, TV is the best way to get exposure in a short amount of time to the largest audience. Allie and I were thankful to get this opportunity starting with the call from Eric to go down and showcase our sport on TV.
