Fallbrook CA 9/13/2011 – With one round still left to be raced in the Quad-X Series, Yamaha/Roll Design rider, Dustin Nelson, has already clinched the series championship with a twenty-nine point lead. This marks the fifth consecutive championship in the Quad-X Series for Nelson. During round seven, Nelson consistently took the holeshot and outpaced the next fastest competitor in both of his motos, claiming the unanimous win and series championship beneath the stadium lights of Speedworld MX Park in Surprise, Arizona.
The Speedworld track is notorious for big jumps, steep landings, braking bumps and tight corners – as well as sweltering heat. It’s the ultimate test for pro ATV racers. However, Nelson’s endurance seemed unscathed with each lap as his Roll Design suspension package tamed even the harshest hits. Nelson completed both moto wins with a seven second lead at the checkers.
The final Quad-X Round will be held October 29th at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernadino, California, where Nelson just claimed a second place pro finish in the WORCS series. 2011 has certainly been a good one for Roll Design, Yamaha and the reigning Quad-X Champion. Let’s do it again in 2012!
