September 2 – Woodcliff Lake, NJ – Zip-Ty Racing Husqvarna teammates Cory Graffunder and Nick Burson used their summer break from desert racing to compete in some Extreme Enduro action. Already considered one of the best ever off-road racers ever to come from Canada, Graffunder returned home to confirm his reputation with a dominating win at the infamous Xtinction Extreme Enduro; then he slipped south of the border to make it into the mix at the National EnduroCross round in Indianapolis. GNCC Hero Juha Salminen Returns To World Enduro Competition In Style!

September 2, 2010 – Woodcliff Lake, NJ – GNCC hero and 7-time world champ Juha Salminen made Husqvarna racing history by putting the all new 2011 TE 449 onto the podium for its very first World Enduro Championship points in Serres, Greece this past weekend. After being sidelined with a serious injury that forced him to miss rounds 3, 4 and 5 of the series, the Husqvarna Motorsport E2 class rider returned with a vengeance at the GP of Greece. July 23, 2010 – Los Angeles, CA – The folks from Adaptive Action Sports (AAS) are proud to be bringing adaptive events back to X Games 16 in Los Angeles Angeles on July 29-31. Skate and wheelchair disciplines, along with the Moto X Super X competition are set to return with adaptive athlete classes. “Our mission is to raise the ability of, and the opportunity for, permanently disabled individuals to participate in action sports,” explains AAS co-founder Daniel Gale.

The Moto X Super X (formerly known as Moto X Racing) competition is set to include men’s, women’s and adaptive athlete classes. It all kicks off at the Coliseum, Thursday July 29 at 3pm. Team Rockstar Teka Suzuki Set For May 30th

April 19, 2010 – Glen Helen Raceway, CA – Fresh off a moto win at the Grand Prix of Lombardia, Team Rockstar Teka Suzuki World MX1 has confirmed they will be bringing racers Clement Desalle and Steve Ramon to Southern California to compete at the USGP at Glen Helen on May 30th. Headed by legendary Belgian racer Eric Geboers, Team Suzuki is celebrating 50 years of racing heritage in 2010 and having an American-based sponsor makes this event doubly important.

“We have just entered into a very important partnership with Rockstar Energy Drink and having a race in the U.S. is just perfect,” explains Geboers. Nicknamed “The Kid” during his own racing days, Geboers gained fame as the first man to win championships in the 125cc, 250cc and 500cc classes. He also knows the track at Glen Helen having won the 500cc USGP at Glen Helen in 1990. “I think it is great that FIM-sanctioned MX is spread out all over the world, and the USA is very important in both the motorcycle business and media.” Read the rest of this entry »

Motocross legend David Bailey teams up with Youthstream for USGP at Glen Helen

April 16, 2010 – Glen Helen Raceway, CA – In preparation for the United States Grand Prix at Glen Helen, set to take place on May 30 weekend, series promoter Youthstream and motocross legend David Bailey have reached an agreement which will see the 2-time USGP winner play an active role in the event.

Bailey won at Unadilla in 1983 (250cc) and at Carlsbad in 1985 (500cc). He now enjoys a successful career as a TV commentator and he will be involved in promoting the USGP at Glen Helen and providing color commentary on the television broadcast along with Youthstream TV Commentator Paul Malin, a former GP winner himself.
