1/20/2010 – Last nights heavy rain has come and gone and the National track is open today for practice. The team is building bridges across the wash as another added measure to make sure we have good off road racing. Stay tuned for another post tomorrow.

For the first time, the schedule for the rapidly approaching 2010 World Off-Road Championships has been designed logistically to save racers money. BRP COMMITS MORE THAN $117,000 IN CONTINGENCY CASH FOR WORCS ATV RACING IN 2010
January 6th, 2010Valcourt, Québec, January 5, 2009 – BRP recently announced a contingency program that will make available more than USD $117,000 for Can-Am ATV racers in the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) this season. The money is part of the 2010 Can-Am X-Team Contingency Program, which has earmarked more than USD $1.6 million, making it one of the most extensive ATV contingency programs in North America. The program pays out to third place and offers a championship bonus for 24 classes in the WORCS ATV series.

The DWT World ATV MX Championship series head to Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA this weekend for Round 3 and 4 of the (8) round series. The opening round was claimed by (2) east coast riders, #44-Chad Wienen riding his Motoworks Can-Am machine to a 1-1 finish in the opening round. However Sunday’s round would see a new winner atop the podium with the Honda of #20 Josh Upperman of Balwin Motosports dominating the field and taking the 1-1 clinching Round 2. Jeremy Lawson is back at Walsh Race Craft as our ‘in-house pilot’ and we are going for the 2010 AMA/ATVA GNC MX Championship.

Due to over 5” inches of rain last weekend, the ITP 6 Hour Endurance Race has been reschedule from December 13th to this Saturday, December 19, 2009.
The event will start at 9am to 3pm on Saturday. The course should be awesome since we did have a large amount of rain that should help out the course after a few days of dry weather. Gate fees $10 adult and children 6-12 yrs $5. Entry fees are $90 per team 3 riders and two bikes per team, or $45 for the Ironman class. |
