Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Racing Wrap-Up – February 13, 2012
February 13th, 2012Round 6 of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Series took place on Saturday night in San Diego, California.
TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad Reed had always been the man to beat in San Diego, winning the main event a record 6 times in his career. After a confident win in his heat race, Reed was poised to add to that record. Reed took off well in the main event and settled into a 2nd place position. Keeping the leader in sight Reed was ready to make a pass if the opportunity presented itself. Just two laps from the end Reed made his move and briefly led, but eventual race winner, Ryan Villopoto, was able to get by for the victory. Reed ended the night on the podium for the 5th time this season. His well earned 2nd place finish keeps him in 2nd place in the series’ points standings, now 6 points away from the top spot. December 16, 2011 – Los Angeles, CA – Selecting a team and a top-five rider to wear the iconic JT Racing brand, and re-introduce the marquee to the Supercross ranks was not a task taken lightly by the crew at JT Racing. Sponsorship not only comes the gear, but the heritage of the classic brand and the mentorship of ex JT champions – a list that reads like a who’s who of the Hall of Fame. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Off Road Team Dominates the Tecate Hare Scrambles

 Irvine, Calif. (December 5, 2011) – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s off road team headed south of the border to Tecate, Mexico, for the 2011 Tecate Hare Scrambles, and dominated the event. Racers battled through two loops, a total of 52 miles, winding through the Mexican desert and over a myriad of challenging obstacles on a tight, single-track course. Despite freezing temperatures and a brief snow flurry, Taylor Robert charged to the front of the field to take the overall win.
