(May 27, 2010) – As Rounds 5&6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series came to a thrilling conclusion in Las Vegas, both Rob MacCachren and Rick Huseman had taken control of the two marquis classes in the series. Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Announces New Southern California Location – Glen Helen Raceway
May 28th, 2010Corona, Ca. (May 25, 2010) – Today, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series announced that the August 7th and 8th, Southern California event, will be held at the legendary Glen Helen Raceway. The landmark facility in San Bernardino, California, has an extensive history of off road and motocross racing while hosting a multitude of national and international events.
Lucas Oil Executive-Vice President, Bob Patison, spoke on the agreement as preparations are already underway for the August race. “Over the years, Bud Feldkamp has built Glen Helen into a world class destination for motocross and off road racing. With this partnership, we are able to work together to build a unique, new, short course off road race track on the Glen Helen site that will have all of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing signature features that keep fans on their feet race after race. May 17th, 2010LETTER FROM SEAN: This has been a busy few days leading up to Honey Lake. Traxxas has come on board to sponsor three rounds of the Motorcycle series for a the Traxxas Triple Crown. Honey Lake, Glen Helen and Mesquite will locations for the triple crown. This should be very exciting in the pits and a whole lot of fun. Bring your Traxxas car and have fun on the custom built track. The Traxxas semi will be at all three events. Triple Crown Awards given at the year end banquet. JCR/Honda Baja 500 pit service
May 4th, 2010JCR/Honda rolls out first-class racing support to Honda mounted riders at the 2010 SCORE Baja 500. A program called JCR/Honda Pits, first started by American Honda in the 1980’s. The program has become an essential component for Honda mounted Baja competitors because the speed and efficiency of a pit stop can make or break your race. A Baja 500 can require as many as 10 pit stops, roughly 60 miles apart. Each pit contains an assortment of spare parts and maintenance items, as well as fuel. JCR/Honda’s Kendall Norman wins Viking MC AMA National Hare and Hound and extends championship points lead!
May 3rd, 2010Round 6 of the AMA National Hare and Hound series is in the books with a big congratulations to Kendall Norman who pulled out all the stops. Kendall’s plan “holeshot the bomb and don’t look back”. He did exactly that, leading both loops of the 80 mile Lucerne Valley, CA course and finishing 2.5 minutes ahead of second place. Kendall, who already holds the championship points lead, is serving notice that he and his Johnny Campbell Racing Honda CRF450X complete with Dunlop tires, Lucas oil’s, Pro Circuit suspension, pipes and motors all prepped by JCR’s Eric Siraton are here to take care of business. Huseman Dominates Pro 4 Unlimited in Surprise, Arizona
May 1st, 2010Corona, Ca. (April 22, 2010) – Sunny skies and a packed house welcomed the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series back to Speedworld in Surprise, Arizona for rounds 3&4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. The weekend was marked with tight door to door racing action combined with the chaos and mayhem on the track that comes from full fields of mega-horsepowered offroad machines flying through the air competing for limited space on the tight and technical Arizona battlefield at Speedworld.
Series Director, Tony Vanillo expressed his enthusiasm after the just completed rounds of racing. “This weekend had it all. It’s exciting to watch these drivers take it to each other race after race. Bakersfield, Ca- 4/21/10– Maxxis’ Bobby Bonds made his return to the WORCS series this past weekend, where he would have an up and down weekend but would leave in one piece and look ahead to Honeylake in just 4 short weeks. On Sunday, Bonds would gate 4th and quickly move into the lead by the end of lap one. When lap 3 came, Bobby would find himself tipped over in the WORCS Xcross section, just as they began lap 4. Bonds would remount and start the run back to the lead pack sitting in around 5th. On lap 5, his day would end early, this time the decision coming from Bonds to pull out rather than prolong the previous shoulder injury from Anaheim 2. Read the rest of this entry »
