Exclusive Interview with Brian Evans over at Spiked Industries
We met Brian Evans during the ATV DWT series and also at the Indy Dealer show this year and we were impressed with what Spike Industries has been bringing to the Off-Road Industry. After many emails we finally got some time to get to know more about Spiked Industries as we sat down with Brian Evans for a quick chat.
RPM: When did spike industries get started?
Brian: Spiked was founded in 2007 as I was starting college, it began in my parents spare bedroom with money I used from school loans because I couldn’t get business financing at 19.

The stator went out in the race Rhino this past weekend. It was not running well for practice and on Saturday, a friend of mine helped me out immensely by tearing into the motor to see what was the problem while I was out sweeping. After calling every bike shop within 75 miles, I was out of luck for finding a stator. What to do? I put the blue Rhino through its paces and managed a podium spot. You never know what can happen in a race! Read the rest of this entry »

Corona, California (August 2, 2010) – Legendary Glen Helen Raceway, globally recognized as the hub of West Coast motocross racing culture, will host its first Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event, August 7th and 8th. Nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains in Northern San Bernardino, the 256-acre facility has been the scene of numerous national and international motocross and off road racing events over its 25 year history.
In contrast to the scenic hill side setting Glen Helen provides, the unique, purpose built eight-tenths mile short course off road battlefield features a triple table top section, high banked turns and aggressive rhythm sections. While the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series makes it’s debut at the Glen Helen facility, the event marks the return to the venue for a pair of legendary motocross champions. Saddle Up Boys, We’re Goin’ Out West
With the GNCC series on Summer Break, a few of the XC1 ATV riders packed up and crossed the country to Washington state to see what WORCS racing is all about. Defending champion of this event Chris Borich returned, bringing with him Adam McGill, Johnny Gallagher, and former WORCS regular Jarrod McClure. It’s great to see that WORCS has gained their attention, hopefully we’ll see more of them come out here in the future.

Ask anyone who’s been to the Breezewood Proving Grounds before and they’ll say it’s the best all around motocross park in the Northeast. Dan Harris (#584) has created tracks that cater to the absolute beginner (Pee Wee) as well as the advanced technical rider. All tracks are Motocross with doubles, tabletops, triples, step-ups and high banked berms and are groomed and watered regularly, and track layouts change often. All the tracks are open to both motorcycles and quads – all day practice… everyday! The park offers much more than just riding. There’s a swimming pond with a huge water slide, diving board, floating dock and much more. There’s full hook-up and primitive camping, hot water shower houses, cabins and a dining facility to ensure your stay at the Proving Grounds is comfortable and relaxing after a hard day riding. WORLDS TOUGHEST RACE SERIES
GEICO ENDUROCROSS OPENER
Story and Photos By Winged Nut & Associates
Arguably, America’s best race action series got underway in the air-conditioned comfort of the Orleans Arena, located in America’s gambling mecca-Las Vegas. Of course, outside the temps hovered at around 112 degrees.
This made for some heated racing, where the riders were much cooler on the track, then they were outside in the scorching pits. The opening race saw defending Geico Endurocross champion, Red Bull/KTM rider Taddy Blazusiak, take the win ahead of multi-time Trials champ, Geoff Aaron, aboard his Christini backed KTM. Look for the battle between these two riders to heat up as the season heats up. Read the rest of this entry »

Letter from Sean Reddish-I hope that everyone is enjoying the break and recharging your racing batteries. What a championship season we are having! The amateur ranks of racers have been competitive and watching the 50cc and 65cc classes race this year has been a tremendous amount of fun. We have challenged the kids with more off-road to get them ready for the next step. The parents are always nervous but the kids just love it and the stories are very unique.

Jeremy was on a brand new LT-R450 we had just finished assembling on Thursday around midnight, just in time to leave for the race.
This weekend started off just like most of our weekends. Saturday practice went well, we tuned the quad and got ready for Sunday morning qualifying. Sunday morning went well, but nothing special, as Jeremy finished the practice in 9th place. However this would prove nothing.
Moto One: At the drop of the gate things didn’t look so well as Jeremy had a terrible reaction off the sticky concrete at PVR. However, he was lined up on the inside and snuck into 5th place around the 1st corner! Within a few laps he caught up to Cody Gibson and quickly passed him for the 4th place position. Joe Byrd was in 3rd place at this time and Jeremy was focused on moving forward. Within a few more laps Jeremy caught and had a little battle with Byrd, Jeremy tried to pass Byrd in an off camber Read the rest of this entry »
