Charlotte, N.C. (December 8, 2011) – Robby Gordon and the SPEED Energy/Toyo Tires team announce the addition of off-road legend, Johnny Campbell to the 2012 team. Johnny Campbell will serve as Gordon’s navigator during the 2012 edition of the infamous Dakar Rally. Campbell will be responsible for directing Gordon through the 6,000-mile pan-American journey that is different than years past, which will add to the allure of the grueling race. The 14-day racing event will starting on New Year’s Day in Mar Del Plata, Argentina, cross over the Andes of Chile and then finish in country of Peru. Fallbrook CA 1/20/2011 – Roll Design equipped riders Alejandro Patronelli (#252) and Sebastian Halpern (#255) would dominate the 2011 DAKAR rally, held in South America. The Roll Design/Elka combination was the perfect setup with over 5900 Miles (9500 KM) spread out amongst 13 stages to claim the top 2 spots respectively. The DAKAR is by far the most grueling off-road race on the planet. Suspension setup is key, as the race crosses every kind of terrain offered in the southern portion of South America. In a partnership between JCR/Honda, American Honda, Honda Europe and HT Rally Raid among many others, Quinn Cody is poised to take his speed, endurance and championship riding to the World Rally stage at the 2011 Dakar. Anticipation and expectations are high as Quinn is in a position to take the Dakar by storm. Make no mistake however, the Dakar is no easy task and the American champion will have to be on his game.
