This years edition of WORCS Week in Olympia, WA kicked off with a weekend of Hare Scrambles racing in the woods surrounding Straddleline ORV Park. Tall old growth timbers, tree roots, rocks and a bit of mud challenged the racers as they navigated their way through the tight course built by the WORCS staff. Unlike a typical WORCS weekend, the racers had the added challenge of dead engine starts, longer laps, and they rode very little of the motocross track. Read the rest of this entry »

SENDING A MESSAGE, that’s what FMF/KTM’s Kurt Caselli intended to do as he waited for the gate to drop on the WORCS Round 8 Sunday Main. Winning the round 7 Hare Scramble race that kicked off WORCS Week gave him a 1 point lead coming into this race one week later.

Arguably, America’s best race action series got underway in the air-conditioned comfort of the Orleans Arena, located in America’s gambling mecca-Las Vegas. Of course, outside the temps hovered at around 112 degrees.
This made for some heated racing, where the riders were much cooler on the track, then they were outside in the scorching pits. The opening race saw defending Geico Endurocross champion, Red Bull/KTM rider Taddy Blazusiak, take the win ahead of multi-time Trials champ, Geoff Aaron, aboard his Christini backed KTM. Ricky Dietrich/O’Neal one-off Argentina USA Race Gear Auction.

Bakersfield, Ca- 4/1/10: JR Publications & Ricky Dietrich announced today, the auction of a complete set of Ricky Dietrich/O’Neal gear from this year’s Argentina “Le Touquet” Beach Race. Dietrich has competed in this event for the past two years and this is his one-off #80 American printed O’Neal vented gear from this years race. Gear was worn in practice by Dietrich. All proceeds will go to the Rider Down Foundation. “Bruce Vermeulen & the crew do a fantastic job over at Rider Down, so Dietrich and I talked this year and this will be the first of 2-3 Auctions that we will be giving 100% back to Rider Down.” Jason Reed of JR Publications. Ricky Dietrich Race Report: WORCS Rnd #2 (Primm, NV)

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Justin Soule and Ricky Dietrich showed their speed on the rough and sandy track as each rider took his first podium spot of the season, finishing second and third, respectively, at the second round of the WORCS series at Stateline in Primm, Nev. Teammate Destry Abbott finished ninth after a hard month battling the flu. Along with the team riders finishing in the top-10, Kawasaki grabbed six of the top-10 spots with Jonathan Davis in sixth, Gary Sutherlin in seventh, and Robby Bell in eighth. Pro 2 class rider Ryan Abbatoye demolished the competition the whole weekend with a dominating victory in both Saturday’s 450A race and Sunday’s Pro 2 main event. Read the rest of this entry »
Kawasaki/Monster Energy Ricky Dietrich Heads to Argentina

Menifee, Ca: 2/19/10– Monster Energy/Factory Kawasaki’s Ricky Dietrich arrived in Piramer, Argentina early this week to start his pre-week training and run for Argentina’s largest annual Enduro Beach Race known as “Enduro Del Verano” (Summer Enduro). This is by far one of the largest Enduro Beach races in the World and Dietrich podiumed here in 2009 and is looking to take the win for 2010. Team Manager- Jason Smigel and Factory Kawasaki mechanic- Jeff Decker made the 6100 mile trip to assist Dietrich in taking home this Summer title. Read the rest of this entry »
