MTA has really upped the ante for this year’s 2-Stroke World Championships! Included in the March 26th program is $10,000 in purses for the Open Pro and 125 Pro Classes ($8,000 to the open pros and $2,000 to the 125 pros); a fantastic tricked-out Yamaha to be raffled-off to one lucky entrant, a huge Monster Energy Freestyle Show, vendor displays and of course great 2-stroke racing for all classes and all levels! Taft is always a rough course, but it seemed like the holes at the second round of the MSR Big 6 Championship were on another level—depth-wise. I believe is was due to the recent rains, which made for a soft underbelly of soil, but whatever the reason, the holes and square-edges were DEEP! I don’t mind it rough; it makes bike set-up and line choice a bit more important, but when the sun starts to set on the pro race, the shadows begin to hide the holes, making it feel a bit like Russian Roulette when you’re trying to travel at speed. Fowler Captures XC1 ATV Championship, Richardson Wins Another XC2 ATV Championship
CYPRESS, Calif. – November 2, 2015 – Yamaha Racing’s Walker Fowler secured the overall ATV National Championship in Sunday’s Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) season finale off-road event, dubbed “The Ironman”, in Crawfordsville, Ind. aboard a YFZ450R sporting Yamaha’s 60th anniversary yellow and black color scheme. Morgantown, W. Va. (October 18, 2011) – Chris Borich doesn’t want to wait. While the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series historically concludes at the annual Amsoil Ironman in Crawfordsville, Ind., this weekend’s Ironman will precede the finale at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Tennessee in two weeks, an event rescheduled from earlier in the season due to rain. But Borich could still wrap the title at the Ironman, which only adds to excitement of the event, where the local community joins the GNCC racing nation for a weekend of fall festivities alongside some of the best racing of the year. Borich looks to extend his lead, Fowler goes for 11 in a row
Morgantown, W. Va. (October 4, 2011) – Just as Chris Borich began to settle back into a winning groove, the Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider experienced a flat tire in the rocky Pennsylvania terrain, leaving him with a fifth place finish at round eleven. Fallbrook CA 9/13/2011 – With one round still left to be raced in the Quad-X Series, Yamaha/Roll Design rider, Dustin Nelson, has already clinched the series championship with a twenty-nine point lead. This marks the fifth consecutive championship in the Quad-X Series for Nelson. During round seven, Nelson consistently took the holeshot and outpaced the next fastest competitor in both of his motos, claiming the unanimous win and series championship beneath the stadium lights of Speedworld MX Park in Surprise, Arizona.
